Tuberculosis

 

The Tuberculosis (TB) Program, located in the Community Health section of the Indian River County clinic, provides the following services:

  • Treatment for suspected and confirmed tuberculosis disease

  • Treatment for latent TB infection

  • TB medicines at no charge

  • Tuberculin skin testing for contacts of person with infectious TB disease

  • Tuberculin skin testing for persons who are required to have testing for school (e.g. Health Care Professions) or employment (e.g. Health Care Workers)

  • Refugee health assessments

  • Chest x-rays to rule out active TB disease
